이성재 작가는 자신의 개인적인 경험을 영상, 설치, 드로잉 등 다양한 매체를 통해 표현한다.작가의 삶 속 영향을 미친 여성들의 이야기에서 출발하여 여성성, 모성애, 가족애와 같은 주제로 확장된다. 실, 레이스, 아크릴 네일, 구슬과 같이 물성이 돋보이는 재료를 사용한 입체작품은 시각적, 촉각적으로 따뜻함과 섬세한 감정을 불러일으킨다. 일상생활에서의 영감이 독특한 재료와 만나며 은유적, 암시적인 신비로운 작품으로 탄생한다. 이번 전시는 작가의 풍부한 미적 감각이 돋보이는 평면 및 입체작품을 선보인다.
Artist Lee Seong-jae expresses his personal experiences through various media such as video, installation, and drawing. Starting from the stories of women who have influenced the artist’s life, the artist expands to themes such as femininity, maternal love, and family love. Using materials with outstanding physical properties such as thread, lace, acrylic nails, and beads, his three-dimensional works evoke visual and tactile warmth and delicate emotions. Inspiration from everyday life meets unique materials to create metaphorical, suggestive, and mysterious works.
